The map below represents the percentage of women that has experienced sexual or physical abuse by their intimate partner during 2013. South Asia, where Pakistan is located, has the highest percentage of women who has been abused by their partners.

The graph below represents the percentage of women who lacked access to job opportunities, women rights, education, and has experienced domestic violence during 2006-2009.

The table below shows the differences between males and females that has been abused by their partner during 2004.

5,000 women are killed per year from domestic violence, while thousands of others are maimed or disabled. A majority have no legal recourse.
A study that was carried out by Human Rights Watch states that 70%-90% of women in Pakistan have suffered from a form of abuse.
Most police officers don't view domestic violence as a crime and ignore it.
